cuz it will make the engine run lean. When you are cruising, the recirc is actually open and that opening in the recirc will allow air to enter the intake tract at that point as it is lesser resistance than pulling it through the MAS. You will run lean during moderate throttle cruises. If you want to REALLY convert your recircs to BOVs, here's how you do it. >>

: and they sounded about as loud as the HKS, just disconnect the rubber hoses from your intake pipes, pug up the holes and then put caps over the rubber hoses with a small hole drilled in the center of the cap, if your idle is rough then you made the hole too big. Other than that the bigger the hole the louder the noise, go as big as you can before your idle starts flucutating.
